ADDRESSING HOMELESSNESS IN LOS ANGELES: A CALL TO ACTION

‘Tis the season of giving and caring for others. Join WIN in a dialogue centered on addressing the housing crisis in LA on the National Homeless Persons Memorial Day.

Addressing Homelessness in Los Angeles: A Call to Action

The Los Angeles region is in the midst of a humanitarian crisis: homelessness. Shockingly, over 75,518 people experience homelessness on any given night in LA County. This includes seniors, youth, families with children, Veterans, and even those who work full-time. As a community, it’s our obligation to address this issue.

To facilitate an open discussion about how we can collaborate to tackle homelessness, we are hosting a Day of Dialogue. This event aims to bring people together to discuss issues of interest or community concerns in an organized yet informal setting. Everyone is welcome to share their opinion and participate, regardless of age, ethnicity, education level, religion, and more. As the Institute for Nonviolence in Los Angeles states, “a dialogue is an opportunity for community members to come together and share their thoughts.”
