“Cooling Pasadena” Virtual Open House
The City of Pasadena is looking for feedback from community members in the Lincoln Avenue and Holly Street/Ramona Street neighborhoods. Community input on the types of strategies used to make these neighborhoods cooler and more sustainable is key. These two neighborhoods, like some other parts of Pasadena, are “Urban Heat Islands” – which means they get hotter faster than other areas and take longer to cool down due to the high amounts of pavement and few trees. This means extreme heat and heat waves have a bigger impact.
