Pasadena Mayor’s Interfaith Prayer Breakfast
Pasadena Mayor Terry Tornek invites you to an annual breakfast which coincides with the National Day of Prayer on the first Thursday of May. This inspirational community event is open to not only people of multiple faiths, but also to business people, nonprofits and community residents. The keynote speaker provides a thought-provoking and inspirational message that speaks to our whole community, whether from a faith tradition or no faith background.
The 2020 speaker will be Dr. Terrence Roberts (terrenceroberts.com), who is a management consultant and mental health professional, and was a member of the Little Rock Nine. Dr. Roberts was awarded the Congressional Gold Medal by President Bill Clinton in 1999. He has a Ph.D. in psychology, has been a member of the faculty of Pacific Union College and Antioch University Los Angeles, was the assistant dean in the UCLA School of Social Welfare and was Director of Mental Health at St. Helena Hospital and Health Center. He is currently Principal of the management-consulting firm, Terrence Roberts Consulting.
The breakfast is organized by Jericho Road Pasadena (www.jrpasadena.org).
