ACT-SO

The NAACP’s Afro-Academic, Cultural, Technological and Scientific Olympics (ACT-SO), is a yearlong achievement program designed to recruit, stimulate, improve and encourage high academic and cultural achievement among high school students.

These students are given the opportunity to participate in 24 categories of competition in the sciences, humanities, business and performing and visual arts. Local winners compete at the National level for gold, silver, and bronze medals along with cash scholarship awards.

ACT-SO is a free competition open to all high school students in the San Gabriel Valley.
